Dr. Konstantinos Votis

Dr. Konstantinos Votis  is a researcher Grade C’ at Information Technologies Institute of the Centre for Research and Technologies Hellas (CERTH-ITI). He is also the director of the Visual Analytics Laboratory of CERTH/ITI and a Visiting professor in the De Montfort University. He received an MSc and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Service Oriented Architectures from the Computer Engineering and Informatics department, University of Patras in Greece. His interests extend in several areas of Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Visual Analytics and information visualisation, Internet of Things (IoT), but also Distributed Ledger Technologies (BlockChain) in different domains with main emphasis in health, personalised medicine, energy, supply chain, but also in cybersecurity. Since 2016, he has been involved in several related Research and Development projects with blockchain technologies in the area of Health Cross-border Interoperability and data exchange (H2020 KONFIDO project, H2020 myAircoach), IoT and cybersecurity (GHOST H2020, ACTIVAGE H2020 in Active and Healthy Ageing), Healthcare and clinical trails (myAirCoach H2020) by supporting identity and permission management, inform consent, etc., energy related projects (eDream, SPEAR H2020). He has also appointed as expert in the EU Blockchain Observatory & Forum initiative. Finally he has co-authored more than 100 publications for international journals and international conferences and events.
